Design Decade Summit by Warsaw Home

Design Decade Summit by Warsaw Home

Design Decade Summit by Warsaw Home
10 years of design. Many visions for the future.

Design Decade Summit by Warsaw Home is a special anniversary event created to celebrate the 10th edition of Warsaw Home. It will bring together architects, interior designers, design studios, premium brands, media representatives and key leaders of the interiors and design industry.

The Summit will be a space for conversation about how interiors, architecture, design and the home furnishings market have changed over the past decade — and, most importantly, about how we will design the future.

Today, design is no longer only about aesthetics. It shapes the way we live, work, rest, build brands, create experiences and develop business. That is why Design Decade Summit will present design as a multidimensional force connecting creativity, technology, responsibility, business, media and lifestyle.

What will we talk about?

The programme is divided into three thematic days, taking participants from a reflection on the past decade, through current market challenges, to the future of design.

Why attend?

Design Decade Summit is not a typical interiors conference. It is a meeting point for those who want to understand where the industry is heading and which trends will shape the way we design spaces in the years to come.

Participants will gain access to inspiring talks, expert perspectives, current market insights and networking opportunities with representatives of architecture, design, premium brands, media and business. It is a space for everyone who sees design not only as aesthetics, but as a tool for creating value, experiences and the future.

Day 1: Design Leaders Day

The opening day will focus on the people, studios and ideas that have shaped the Polish design scene over the last 10 years. The discussions will explore changes in the interiors market, the development of Polish brands and designers, the role of design studios and the question of whether Polish design has its own recognizable language on the international stage.

Key topics:

  • 10 years of change in Polish interiors,
  • Polish design on the international market,
  • design studios as creators of a new lifestyle,
  • the designer as a brand and the product as a statement.

Day 2: Living, Contract & Experience Day

The second day will have a more business-oriented and market-focused character. It will explore the home of the future, hospitality, retail, real estate, commercial spaces and the role of design in building brand value and user experience.

Key topics:

  • how we will live in the next decade,
  • wellbeing, light, acoustics and emotional design,
  • hotels, restaurants and retail as spaces of experience,
  • design as a tool for increasing the value of investments,
  • materials, craftsmanship and collectible design.

Day 3: Future, Media & Business Day

The final day will open a discussion about the future of the industry. The programme will focus on technology, AI, ESG, circular design, media, social media and the changing role of architects and designers. It will ask who — and what — will shape tastes, needs and directions in design over the next decade.

Key topics:

  • what will design the next decade,
  • AI, ESG and circular design in creative work,
  • material responsibility and designing “less, but better”,
  • the role of media and the internet in popularizing design,
  • a manifesto for the next decade of design.

Living Craftsmanship: Upholstery, Quality and Upcycling in Furniture Design

IS CRAFTSMANSHIP THE NEW LUXURY?

In an age of mass production, artificial intelligence and furniture designed for frequent replacement, we are increasingly returning to the question of the true value of craftsmanship.

Does the future belong to products made faster and more cheaply, or to objects created with passion, expertise and respect for the material?

During the panel discussion, we will explore why traditional craftsmanship is once again inspiring architects, interior designers and furniture manufacturers, and how the expectations of conscious consumers are changing. It will be a discussion about quality, durability, responsible design and the role of craftsmanship in the contemporary world of design.

Panel topics

  • Is craftsmanship becoming a new symbol of luxury?
  • How are today’s consumers and their expectations changing?
  • Why should furniture last for years rather than just one season?
  • Circular design, upcycling and responsible design.
  • Will technology and artificial intelligence replace craftspeople?
  • How can we design furniture that remains timeless?
  • How can Polish craftsmanship build a competitive advantage in the European market?

We invite architects, interior designers, furniture manufacturers, industry professionals, students and everyone who believes that the best design begins with a good idea and excellent craftsmanship.

MAKE A POUF – DIY

MAKE A POUF” DIY Workshop at Warsaw Home Furniture

Create a designer piece of furniture you will not find in any store

Some things can be bought. Others are worth creating yourself.

During Warsaw Home Furniture, we invite you to take part in a practical DIY workshop where you will make your own modern upholstered pouf. It is a unique combination of design, craftsmanship, creativity and the zero-waste approach.

Over the course of several hours, you will learn the basics of upholstery, work with professional materials and tools, and create a functional piece of furniture to take home with you.

Design, creativity and zero waste

Good design begins with an idea.

During the workshop, we will show that modern design can go hand in hand with the responsible use of materials. Participants will work with high-quality upholstery fabrics and carefully selected reclaimed materials.

Each participant will choose their own colours, textures and finishing details, making every pouf completely unique.

What will you make?

  • During the workshop, you will create:
  •  a modern, round upholstered pouf,
  •  a designer addition to a living room, bedroom or dressing room,
  •  a finished piece of furniture made entirely by you.

 Workshop programme

  •  Welcome and a brief introduction to upholstery and safe working practices.
  •  Introduction to basic upholstery tools and materials.
  •  Selection of fabric from the available colours and patterns.
  •  Personalisation of the wooden legs through painting, staining, varnishing or waxing.
  •  Creation of the upholstered seat.
  •  Assembly and finishing of the pouf.
  •  Practical tips from a master upholsterer.
  •  Workshop summary, commemorative photos and collection of the finished pieces.

What is included in the price?

  •  all necessary materials and accessories,
  •  a wide selection of upholstery fabrics,
  •  wooden legs,
  •  access to professional tools,
  •  guidance from the instructor throughout the workshop,
  •  your finished pouf to take home.

All materials are included in the workshop price.

No previous experience is required

The workshop has also been designed for complete beginners. No previous knowledge or upholstery skills are required.

All you need is the willingness to create. The entire process will be explained step by step.

Who is the workshop for?

  • The workshop is intended for:
  •  architects and interior designers,
  •  decorators and home stagers,
  •  students,
  •  bloggers and content creators,
  •  design enthusiasts,
  •  people interested in zero waste,
  •  anyone who enjoys making things by hand.

Why is it worth taking part?

The best interior accessories are those with a story of their own.

This will not be another piece of furniture bought in a store. It will be your pouf — handmade, unique and created to match your own style.

POLAND AS A GROWING TEXTILE HUB IN EUROPE

CONFERENCE: "POLAND AS A GROWING TEXTILE HUB IN EUROPE"

During Warsaw Home Textile 2026

Heritage, innovation, and international cooperation are shaping a new future for the textile industry, in which Poland is playing an increasingly important role as a European business hub.

For centuries, textiles have served as a bridge between cultures, economies, and generations. Today, they are defining the direction of the future by bringing together design, advanced technologies, sustainable solutions, industry, and international economic cooperation.

Warsaw Home Textile 2026 will become a unique platform for dialogue between representatives of diplomacy, business, industry, design, and institutions supporting economic development. The conference, "Poland as a Growing Textile Hub in Europe," will bring together experts, industry leaders, and representatives of international markets, creating an environment for discussions on the future of the textile sector, new investments, international partnerships, and the global expansion of Polish companies.

From the centuries-old weaving traditions of Asia—China's silk, Persian carpets, Anatolian kilims, and the unique textile craftsmanship of Uzbekistan and Indonesia—to Europe's leading fashion and design centers, the history of textiles demonstrates that the greatest ideas emerge where cultures, experience, and diverse perspectives come together.

Thanks to its strategic location, strong manufacturing capabilities, creativity, and growing importance within European supply chains, Poland continues to strengthen its position as one of the key destinations on Europe's textile map.

We invite you to PTAK WARSAW EXPO in Nadarzyn—a meeting place for ambassadors, business leaders, and the visionaries shaping the future of the textile industry.

Warsaw Home Textile 2026 is an event that brings together tradition, innovation, and global opportunities for collaboration.
