The third edition of Warsaw Home (4-7 October 2018) featured 623 exhibitors, including 119 from abroad. The exhibitions were visited by 67 325 people from 65 countries, 22 223 of whom were professionals (29% from abroad), including architects and distributors. In 2017 the event took place in three halls, in 2018 the exhibitors occupied as many as five, with a total area of over 120 thousand square meters. Kasia Ptak, CEO and originator of the fair has seen the potential of Warsaw Home and its location in the center of Poland and Europe from the very beginning. Her vision has become reality. Warsaw Home are the most dynamically developing interior design and furniture fairs in the world. We thank to all participants for being the part of the success!

Big brands in their global versions

At Warsaw Home you could see the same big brands that showcase their new products in Milan and Cologne every year. Numerous high-end companies, such as those that have already made their mark in the history of great design, were represented: Moroso, B&B Italia, Kartell, Magis, Cappellini, Edra, Tom Dixon or Vitra. – I am impressed with Warsaw Home – said Stefano Giovannoni, the star of the Warsaw Home Design Forum, the famous Italian designer and founder of the Qeeboo brand. – I must admit that I did not expect so much momentum and so many world-famous companies.

Grand premieres and interesting debuts

Warsaw Home is an opportunity to show Polish brands in the context of global design to foreign guests, professionals from the furniture industry. It is hard to find a better idea for their promotion than comparing them with the best global companies. This is the easiest way to prove that Polish designers are as good as foreign ones, it’s enough to mention such names as Oskar Zięta, Tomasz Rygalik, Mac Stopa, Maja Ganszyniec, Maciej Karpiak, Robert Majkut, Nikodem Szpunar, Beza Projekt, Krzysztof Kubasek, Anna Vonhausen and many others.

Warsaw Home +

Warsaw Home aren’t just trade fairs. There are also exhibitions and many accompanying events, such as the previously mentioned Poland Design Festival. As part of Warsaw Home 2019, there was Archi Day addressed primarily to interior designers, with a schedule filled with lectures, workshops and discussions. The fairs are also four days of open meetings with designers and architects, i.e. the Design Forum, held under the common slogan: Strength! Since the first edition, thanks to the participation of Polish and foreign design stars, it has been one of the strongest features of Warsaw Home. This year’s Design Forum was attended by such celebrities as Stefano Giovannoni, Nika Zupanc, Tom Dixon and Giulio Cappellini, and the high level of the Polish side was ensured by Jakub Szczęsny, Oskar Zięta, Tomasz Rygalik, Maja Ganszyniec, Krystian Kowalski, Mac Stopa and Robert Konieczny, among others.

We invite you to come back in 2019

In order to fully appreciate the Warsaw Home trade fairs, you had to spend many hours there and walk many kilometers along the alleys in individual halls. It is a powerful platform connecting manufacturers, designers, distributors and end users, a place for those who are looking for top shelf, mid-range or mass products. The energy of the organizers, headed by Kasia Ptak, the potential of the Polish furniture industry and the creativity of designers translates into the high level of the event. Just three years after its inception, there is no doubt that this is the most important trade fair event in the interior design industry in Central and Eastern Europe, connecting the old Europe with new, developing markets – not only on our continent.

Warsaw Home allies forces with Tom Dixon, one of the most eminent and recognizable interior designers of our times.
Warsaw Home Fairs since its inception has put not only on showing the best home and foreign interior brands, but also on arranging meetings with the most reputable designers of our times. In the first run in 2016 – our very special guest was Karim Rashid, the controversial „Prince of Plastic”, whose lecture attracted crowds of visitors. The star of the second run was the duo Neri&Hu, last year’s EDIDA prize winner in category of „the best designer”. No difference this year, one of the most reputable designers – Tom Dixon decided to ally forces with us. We find it a very special appreciation , particularly viewing a widely commented decision of him, not to exhibit at this year’s run of Milano Design Week – the first time for 15 years. During Warsaw Home 2018 Tom Dixon shall not only present his latest collection, but also will give a presentation on various associations of this year’s lead – THE POWER !!!

There is a handful of contemporary interior designers, who can be identified with this notion so well as Tom Dixon is. It’s enough to take a glance at his portfolio. The British designer has started his affair with designing yet in eighties, while in the next decade he was brushing up his skills at the position of creative director of a cult brand Habitat. For the next 5 years he run the operations of Artek – a genuine icon of Finnish design. Global recognition he owes to his projects worked out under his own name. They can be distinguished by a unique style of the designer, a respect to details; particularly those made of copper and brass, as well as a skill to create items both of geometric and organic forms. Today’s Tom Dixon is a brand in itself. He deals with both complex interiors and individual items, which are available in stores of over 60 countries. He cooperates well-known xcompanies, such as Adidas or IKEA – for which he designed a DELAKTIG collection. His works are exhibited also in most famous museums – London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, New York’s Museum of Modern Art or Paris’s Pompidou Centre. If you would like to see his latest projects and listen to his remarks on POWER!, you should pay a visit to Nadarzyn between 4th and 7th of October, the days on which the Warsaw Home 2018 Fairs are held.

Architonic, the number-one online community for architects, designers, home-owners and design enthusiasts is now an official partner of Warsaw Home.

Warsaw Home 2018 changes specially for you.

The changes we intend to implement are meant to show that the Warsaw Home 2018 is a strong brand, which is bound to compete with the biggest interior design events all over Europe – announces Ms. Kasia Ptak, the originator of the Fairs.

The Warsaw Home Fairs 2018 will be enhanced in order to meet more diversified needs of the branch as well as hopefully numerous visitors. One of the markers of the changes to come will be a new logo; the part of general rebranding, which will make the communication of the event – more coherent. We also intend to implement in February this year a new website, which should facilitate the process of registering of exhibitors and will make their product offer better advertised. The duration of the event will become extended to four days (4-7th of October 2018) and strict separation of the trade part (Thursday and Friday) from the visitors part (weekend), would make establishing of business contacts among professionals – much more easier and effective. In order to meet growing needs from exhibitors – we have decided to double in size  exhibition space. Because of that, in five halls of a joint space of 120,000 sq.m we will create perfect opportunities for up to 800 of exhibitors; representing: Furniture, Kitchen&Dining, Interior Finish and Deco segments. Thus, the Warsaw Home 2018 will become even bigger than some a prestigious interior design events from Europe.

We would like to announce that the next edition of Warsaw Home will be held on 4-7.10.2018. The time of the fair is extended by one day – four days with the best companies from the industry! Can you believe it? We can’t wait!

Warsaw Home Exhibition, which was held between 6-8 October this year, has managed to attract  a record high number of exhibitors, brands, trade professionals and visitors. The runaway success of this year issue shows clearly, that the idea of such type of Fairs was spot on.

Warsaw Home is based upon a unique formula which combines promotion of home design with presentation of the most important and reputable producers representing furniture business, home equipment and accessories – generally interior design. There is no other place on the map of Polish fairs, which would meet so confidently all highly diversified needs of a medium and high segments of public, corporate markets as well as individual client.

Warsaw Home in numbers

Warsaw Home Exhibition has noted a threefold increase in space coverage than in the previous year – 65 ths sqm! In three exhibition halls of the Ptak Warsaw Expo over 400 companies and 600 global brands displayed their products and projects. The fairs attracted over 64 ths of visitors, among them 29 thousand of businessmen from Poland and abroad.  The event was visited by architects, interior designers and design stylists – in total 9,000 people, not forgetting about investors. The event has become a platform linking entrepreneurs for placing orders, signing contracts, sometimes establishing first business relations.

Shining stars

This year issue of the event has gathered exceptionally rich collection of design stars; Karim Rashid to name the first. He paid a visit to Warsaw Home for the second time in row. His lecture attracted crowds of people. Similarly warmly welcomed were presentations and lectures given by other stars of design: duo Neri&Hu, Paul Heijnen, Antoine Genin, Pierre Frey, Robert Konieczny, Oskar Zięta, Tomek Rygalik and many others.

Potential of Polish producers and Polish brands

The Exhibition attended the biggest, global brands, main Polish designers and the new ones – just established, practically unknown Polish brands. Following the data obtained from the Polish Chamber of Furniture Producers for the year 2016 – Poland holds sixth position among global manufacturers and fourth among exporters of furniture (as for overall output volume). Thus, Warsaw Home seem to be the event which present in the most comprehensive way growing potential of Polish manufacturers and Polish brands. They open the gate for global partners… Being here the next year is a must, you just can’t miss it!
